The Covenant of Yahweh

The everlasting covenant of Yahweh — the framework of inheritance, return, and restoration for all who submit to His Word.

Historical Note: This page originally featured covenant teachings from the 2010–2016 Bayith Yahweh site. It has been updated with the current Miqdash Bethel Covenant standard.

The Covenant of Return and Inheritance

Yahweh established His covenant not as a religious system but as a governmental framework — a binding agreement between the Creator and His creation, grounded in law, inheritance, and the promise of return. This covenant was never the property of any single nation, assembly, or man. It belongs to Yahweh alone.

"I WILL NEVER BREAK MY COVENANT WITH YOU. And you shall not make any league or treaty with the inhabitants of the land — you shall pull down their places of judgment and their covenants with strange gods; but you have not obeyed My voice. Why have you done this?"— Shoftim (Judges) 2:1-2

The covenant of Yahweh as preserved in the Hebrew Tanakh — from Bereishit to Devarim and through all the Prophets and Writings — was given to all of humanity as a divine moral compass. It cuts through every barrier of culture, language, politics, and time. No person is excluded from its invitation. No nation is beyond its reach.

The Framework of Inheritance

The covenant contains within it a framework of inheritance — who receives the promises of Yahweh, under what conditions, and according to what standard. This inheritance was promised to Avraham (Abraham), confirmed to Yitzhak (Isaac), and renewed with Yaakov (Jacob). It flows through the covenant of the Torah and is activated by obedience to the instructions of Yahweh.

"Now therefore, if you will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people: for all the earth is Mine. You will be for Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation."— Shemot (Exodus) 19:5-6

The Covenant of Return

Central to the covenant framework is the promise of return — that those who have been scattered, those who have wandered from the instructions of Yahweh, will be gathered back. This is not a metaphor. It is a covenant promise given with the full authority of Yahweh, and it is operative today.

"At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, says Yahweh."— Tzephaniyah (Zephaniah) 3:20
"He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does Yahweh require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your Elohim."— Mikhah (Micah) 6:8
Elder Kepha's Current Covenant Position — 2026

The Covenant of Yahweh is the governing standard for all of Miqdash Bethel's work. The 2010–2016 Bayith Yahweh site framed the covenant through the lens of Yahshua Messiah as salvific mediator — a position rooted in the NT framework. The current position of Miqdash Bethel grounds the covenant exclusively in the Hebrew Tanakh.

The covenant itself — the laws, the inheritance framework, the promise of return, the instructions from Bereishit to Devarim — remains unchanged and fully authoritative. It was never the property of any religion, denomination, or sect. It belongs to Yahweh and is addressed to all humanity.

"Here is the conclusion of the matter: fear Elohim and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man."— Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) 12:13
